Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to You, as a student of Academic Link Education Centre. By enrolling into a tuition program, You agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below.

1 - Bookings

Our bookings are taken on an advance method of 4-weekly basis. We are requesting some form of identification to be kept in our database. Students under the age of 16, we require parent identification (eg. Utility bill, license, etc..), or students 16 and over can produce an identification card (eg. Student ID, etc..). This information will be only used upon address use of the student for any mailing to be sent in the future.

2 – Duration

All tuition programs (except Music), are run in 1-hour increments. A student may make a booking for a 2-hour lesson or more. Our Music lessons’ minimal lesson time is in 45-minute increments. Our group programs last for 80 minutes. Where necessary, tutors have right to take a short break.

3- First Group and Second Group Tutors

Our sessions will be held in two streams:

First Group Tutors: Teachers who are registered with the Victorian Instititute of Teaching run the group tutoring sessions and also work full time in other Victorian schools; or professionals with a high achievement and experience in teaching and also working in full time basis in their areas. Due to this, the number of one-on-one tutoring sessions which they can provide are limited. Such teachers will receive $40 per hour and enrolments will be taken on a 4-week basis. Enrolments for 8 or 12 weeks will not be liable to further discounts. Long-term enrolments are advised in order to secure the teacher who is to provide the tutoring. Tutoring cancellations remain as set in our policies.

Second Group Tutors: Tutors in this group, have undergone further studies at university and are either continuing their honours year, or are working professionally in their fields. Tutors will continue to receive $27.50 per hour. The discounts and enrolment/cancellation policies which were in place throughout 2006 will still be applicable in 2007.
