In our Primary program we cover Literacy and Numeracy in all levels. We cater for mixed abilities, individual needs and extending students capabilities.
Literacy
- Reading –fluency, expression, comprehension, retelling, decoding texts
- Writing – grammar, spelling, different text types, story-writing, formal and informal writing
- Speaking & listening – role-playing, presentations, following instructions
Numeracy
- Number – counting, place value, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, fractions, money, problem-solving
- Space– interpreting, drawing & making graphs, location, shapes, mapping, tessellation
- Measurement – length, capacity, volume, mass, time,
- Chance & Data – probability, outcomes, data collecting, tallying
